[edit] 2D versions of 3D objects

I explained the copyright law on the matter and why it would be necessary to provide ownership details of the architecture displaye dand the years in order to establish proper "free"ness of the images. Ottava Rima (talk) 02:53, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm taking the greater issue over to Commons, so you wont have to worry about it (unless some of the pictures have to be reloaded at Wikipedia under a fair use tag). I struck my comments to make sure this is apparent at the review. Ottava Rima (talk) 13:32, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] London

Thanks for reverting the stuff about the London mayor. I discussed it with the editor at User talk:Troikoalogo but I didn't want to revert as I'd already done so at London three times today. If Johnson has won, I'm not sure when he would take office (it might not be for a while), so it might be worth keeping an eye on the article. Cordless Larry (talk) 22:26, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] London Peer Review

I replied on the London peer review. if you found my comments useful, peer review can always use more reviewers, so please consider reviewing a request at WP:PR, particularly one that has not yet received feedback at Wikipedia:Peer review/backlog. Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:57, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I had checked some things and then got busy in real life, sorry. It is a longer article, so I wanted to look at all of it again. Should take me several more hours - will post something Ruhrfisch ><>°° 20:48, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New Project

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 04:44, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

The article, Martha Logan, part of the 24 Wikiproject, has passed Good Article review, and is now listed as a Good Article.

[edit] Vandalism?

Hello,

I am a little upset at charges of vandalism in re my revision of the Beatles cartoon show article.

I am an animation historian and expert of some renown, and I feel very much offended that the additional information on American-produced episodes of "The Beatles" was deleted.

I did not log in with my username (Davemackey)... was that the sole basis of the implication that it was vandalism, and not ADDITIONAL USEFUL INFORMATION? Vandalism is where someone puts in an article that the show That's So Raven is about "Raven-Symone and her clitorus". (That was an actual act of vandalism that I found and fixed.)

[edit] Re Re Signature

Thanks for the help offer! Actually, the comment I made in your signature book was just me making a dumb joke. Although I do sort of need help, I have been adopted. Sorry for being misleading, and thanks again for the offer! You're dreaming eh? 03:14, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WP:HAU has a new format

Due to popular demand, HAU has a new look. Since the changes are so dramatic, I may have made some mistakes when translating the data. Please take a look at WP:HAU/EU and make sure your checkmarks are in the right place and feel free to add or remove some. There is a new feature, SoxBot V, a recently approved bot, automatically updates your online/offline status based on the length of time since your last edit. To allow SoxBot V to do this, you'll need to copy [[Category:Wikipedians who use StatusBot]] to your userpage. Obviously you are not required to add this to your userpage, however, without this, your status will always be "offline" at HAU. Thanks. Useight (talk) 17:22, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, thanks for the idea, I'll look into it. Useight (talk) 17:28, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] ACC interface changes

Heya! I didn't know if you'd noticed or not, but, I added 'decline' to user management in the TS acc interface, for use when an account is not approvable... It allows you to leave a reason, and, directs the account to send an e-mail to accounts-enwiki-l to appeal the decline.... If you can think of any improvements that can be made to it, lemme know :)

Feel free to create yourself a "test" account, and decline it if you like. SQLQuery me! 00:02, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I need graphics editing help

I noticed you are listed to help people in designing their user pages.

Well, I need help with a similar type of thing - graphics editing.

I'm preparing to coordinate this:

Notice
Coming July 15th to the Awards Center: The Around the World Competition. Three types of awards will be presented, including a World Champion Trophy! Hone your advanced tools skills, 'cuz you'll need them! If you'd like to be kept up to date on this and other happenings at the AWC, sign up to receive the AWC Newsletter here.

and for it I'm developing some awards. Each award will include an image, and that's where I need help...

I've got to have all the awards done by July 15th, and I don't even have the first one finished yet.

I'm looking for someone who knows how (or is interested in jumping in and learning how) to work on images in xcf format using GIMP, or Inkscape, etc. (Because I and others will need to be able to edit each image's layers after you are done with it).

If this sounds like something you are interested in helping with, please drop me a note.

By the way, both GIMP and Inkscape are free, making it easy to get started from scratch.

I look forward to your reply.

[edit] WP:HAU

Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 22:27, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Minor CTU agents in 24

There's a current change to an article that I feel should have the discussion of the whole Wkiproject. It's the article above, the old version is this and the new version is the current version. I think some discussion on which version would be best would be wise in this situation. Feel free to discuss this on the article talk page. Thanks, SteveBot (owner) 21:22, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RE: London FAC

Yes, I was actually just in the midst of posting more concerns on the FAC page. Have a look. There are really far too many problems with the article to list. You might want to consider withdrawing; the topic is large and complex, and the article needs a lot of work before it meets the featured criteria. BuddingJournalist 19:58, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
