[edit] Philadelphia Phillies

If you would like to participate in the discussion regarding the "F" to "Ph" naming convention, please visit the Phillies talk page. Thank you. Killervogel5 (talk) 14:28, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Here's the problem. Now, it's not necessarily a matter of whether it's right one way or another. We've now moved into three-revert rule territory. This means, no matter what my opinion is, I have to leave it alone until it can be mediated. Same goes for you. I believe you're doing this in good faith and that you firmly believe what you're doing is right, so I won't say you're wrong. I just want to give you fair warning not to touch the page again because they will block you for 24 hours. I've seen it happen.

Also, as an aside, please, whenever you make any comment on any Talk pages, please use ~~~~ so people know who's talking. It's hard to go back through the history to see who left what comment. And one more aside, you always put your comments at the bottom, not at the top. That way, it keeps continuity. Not trying to be a pain in your butt, just trying to help you understand some of the protocols w/Wikipedia. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! • You have been listed as an involved party in Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2008-04-14 Philadelphia Phillies. I am your mediator if the case still needs mediating. You may want to watch the page to see what happens. Thanks. Mm40|Talk|Sign|Review 12:19, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
The other two parties have said that the issue is resolved. Please tell me if you think it is O. K. the way it is or not. If you don't answer by May 8, then I'll close the discussion. Thanks. Mm40|Talk|Sign|Review 00:12, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm closing the case since it's been a while. If you want me to reopen the case, I will gladly do so. Drop me a note on my talk page. Thanks. Mm40|Talk|Sign|Review 22:15, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 18:26, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Ph vs F

You are now pushing this issue to the point of vandalism. The edits that were made on the Philadelphia Phillies page before your disruptive edits were neutral, showing both possible ways. If you continue to make these edits, especially removing sourced material, you will be blocked. EaglesFanInTampa 20:28, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

I don't know why you felt the need to respond on my talk page, but that response actually should have been made under the mediation section. I think the reason that there's a problem is that EaglesFanInTampa placed a neutral compromise edit on the main page until the mediators could sort out which convention we should follow, though there was no debate until it was changed last week. Your reversions aren't vandalism, but they are getting close because your statements appear to harbor a specific point of view, rather than a neutral one. Wikipedia policy states that the content must be verifiable, and we have been able to source both the "Fightin" and "Phightin" spellings. Believe it or not, I actually use "Fightin" myself, but that section was edited to reflect the aforementioned convention within Phillies culture to substitute Ph for F. It could go either way, but I felt it best to simply leave it the way it was. I was also the one to suggest a neutral compromise edit rather than one way or the other. Therein lies the problem. By editing the neutral compromise, you are endangering yourself because neutral sourced edits were replaced by POV edits. Killervogel5 (talk) 21:14, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Speaking for myself and the WikiProject, I appreciate your willingness to compromise with us until we can sort out this issue. Thanks for your cooperation. I'll re-extend my invitation for you to join us and contribute your fan knowledge to other Phillies articles. Thanks again. Killervogel5 (talk) 18:27, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
