Warning of User:HisSpaceResearch

Please be more careful when warning other users. A quick review of the page's history shows that User:HisSpaceResearch created the page as a redirect and that another account vandalized the page. Instead of reverting the vandalism you requested that the page be deleted and warned the wrong person. Please be more careful in the future. OcatecirT 05:38, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd like to say that it was a perfectly valid redirect from another capitalisation (these are allowed and encouraged, I believe), and that this was an improper warning.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 12:25, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
Alright, no problem. I always assume good faith anyway and believe that everyone else should too whilst working on this project.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 13:09, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the note. I think it was bad timing, if you look at the history I was trying to revert an anon but Alex beat me to it. :) Green Giant (talk) 01:13, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

My Warning

Welcome

Hello! Thanks for the welcome! I have to admit that I'm already an established editor but I haven't used my account for many months now. I found that there is one disadvantage of having a user name; traceability. In the past I've edited controversial articles and having a user ID was often used against me by other editors - "look at his edit history, he thinks this, that or the other.....". I'm happy now to be anonymous. My IP address frequently changes, so my edits can only be tracked for a short while. Thank-you anyway for the invitation. Maybe at some point I'll re-instate my old user ID. 81.109.216.245 (talk) 14:56, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you for fixing my "trophy room". Though I had abandoned it, I appreciate you making it look pretty again. OcatecirT 20:21, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Holiday card

Thanks so much for the holiday card, Dj! I've edited the page to remove the section header, because it is resulting in the "edit" link going to your subpage, and people will reply there, instead of on their talk page. So you'll want to add the "Happy holidays" header yourself, so the card doesn't end up displaying with a bunch of people's thanks! (You might want to not transclude it, and substitute it instead, as well. Because any change you make to it will change everyone's page, lol.) Thanks again! ArielGold 18:24, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Deletation of Image:Brianlittrellnevergonephotoshoot.jpg

Hi man, I'd like to know what is the problem with the picture I just uploaded. It's free! I have taken it from a a fan site. The webmistress give the rigts for everyone to take the pictures and use them whatever they like. I also modified it it to put it here, because of the License. User:Mizunoryu25,12 of December. (UTC)

Hi there. Just thought I'd add a bit of information here. The site that's listed on the image file as its source [1] states, "Littrell Fans is 100% unofficial. We are not affiliates with the Littrell Family, their management or the Backstreet Boys. The site is fan run, for the fans. All original text and graphics belong to Littrell Fans, all pictures, articles, etc. are copyright to their original owners. This site is non-profit, and is in no way trying to infringe on the copyrights or businesses of any of the entities." This looks like a promotional photo to me and its copyright is likely owned by either the photographer or the person/agency who hired him. I can't find where exactly on the site this photo is from, so it could be possible that there's a local exception to the site-wide disclaimer. A fair use argument might be made, but it would be unlikely to fly under current consensus due to this being a photo of a living person.—Elipongo (Talk contribs) 01:54, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
Replied on User:Mizunoryu's talkpage, told them to use {{attribution}} or it will be speedily deleted. If that License is not valid, it will also be Speedily Deleted. Thank you Elipongo for the info, Thedjatclubrock :) (T/C) 01:59, 27 December 2007 (UTC).

Speedy deletion of Image:Brianlittrellnevergonephotoshoot.jpg

Hi, thanks for notifying me the problems, before delete the pic. You and Elipongo are great! Other administrator would have deleted it at once. The picture is just on her site. To get pass to the gallery you must register for free. The picture is on photoshootings gallery. But, I just noticed the webmistress attributed the picture to the photographer. And is fair for me to do the same. I'm gonna change the license and attribute it to the photographer. Thanks once again to notifying me. This was nice of you. User:Mizunoryu, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

RfA thanks

Please don't template the regulars

Hi,

You recently added a comment on User talk:Mathewignash which comes from a vandalism template. Firstly, the edit in question doesn't appear to be vandalism. Secondly, we've got a policy: WP:Don't template the regulars, which covers this. Regular editors deserve more explanation for reverts of their actions than do those who may be unfamiliar with WP policy. Chris Cunningham (talk) 10:54, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Removed, But, WP:Don't template the regulars is and essay and not a policy or guideline, and editors are not obliged to follow it. Thedjatclubrock :) (T/C) 13:05, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, my bad. That said, it probably should be policy. Chris Cunningham (talk) 15:10, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Numark CDX

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Numark CDX, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Numark CDX.
