Thank you!
Hi, just dropping by to say thanks for supporting my RfA, I totally wasn't expecting to get so much support, it was a really pleasant surprise. Melesse (talk) 04:24, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

As promised...
Tell Chet I said "Thanks. :)" But I still think it looks better on your arm than it does on my chest. ;) Lara❤Love 16:46, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, sweets... so check it. Ima upload a better version of this tomorrow... a better face. I mean, it'll still be my face, just a better version of it. Haha. Tongue stud and such. Good times. Alright. I'm out. Lara❤Love 07:13, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
Speedy delete on user subpages
I'm well aware of procedure. It's just that I don't see the page necessarily as an attack page, and (as an uninvolved and quite impartial here) therefore am quite uncomfortable with ignoring a significant number of people who outright want to keep it on a much more involved procedure than speedy deletion. Nyttend (talk) 06:32, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
- I also read "Nothing here should be construed as a personal attack and all comments here are subject to change". Feel free to leave another comment, but I'm going to bed, so I'll not make any more replies until the morning. Nyttend (talk) 06:35, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
As the Ogg Turns?!
Tell your mom about this as well. I uploaded it under fair use historical last year. Mike H. Fierce! 09:41, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

RFA thanks
Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Cumulus Cloud refactoring
I moved some text from the RFC page to the discussion page and Lawrence pointed out that I also removed your endorsement of his Outside view. I've tried to put it back, can you confirm I've done it right? The discussion was getting longer and didn't seem right for the RFC page itself, but feel free to re-factor so your comments are properly shown in both places. Thanks. Franamax (talk) 23:32, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Oh yeah, is there any way you can change that swear word at the top of this page? Franamax (talk) 23:33, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- I could, but I don't find an inherent need to, nor do I care for the implication that there is anything wrong with it. Personally, I find NAMBLA very offensive, but rather than demand they disband, I will ignore them until such time as I am forced to attend their meetings. the_undertow talk 00:58, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- I actually didn't even look into what that header is about, I was just noting the s-bomb that jumped out. Now I've looked some more and I will strenuously not disagree with your sentiments. Not disagree at all. But I do disagree with the use of Wikipedia for one side or the other, as much as I stand only on the one side. I'm not exactly clear on how such a prominent banner "ignores" anything, it seems more to draw attention, and we already have a pretty clear, quiet and determined consensus on exactly where the line is drawn. I'll stand on that line anytime you want. It was just the s-word I was commenting on, I'm sure you could find a much more eloquent substitution that wouldn't put off casual vistors to your page. Cheers! Franamax (talk) 01:51, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Fran, sometimes expletives are remarkably succinct. I'm sure you're thinking of a few right this minute. Haha! Laters. the_undertow talk 02:12, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Actually no, nothing comes to mind. Unless - I can see where you're coming from and I would defer to your greater experience in the subject area on-wiki, I'd just point out that taking a hardened attitude with reflexive responses might tend to push people who would whole-heartedly agree with your views into a semi-opposing camp that instead reflexively supports free expression and free speech as a response to your own hard-line approach, and I'm not sure how that advances your overall goals other than the satisfaction of making your own wiki-statement - is that a swear word? :)
- The other possibility is that you addressed me as "Fran", expletives deleted but good one, I'd prefer Franco, my casual moniker of 25 years, barring that F-max or Fmax. You found my weak spot on the first try, please don't spread it around. :) Franamax (talk) 03:52, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Franco, first, I have no goals. I find that by setting my standards and goals extremely low results in my accomplishing nearly everything I have attempted, without fail. This is what has given me such a healthy self-esteem. Second, 'Franco' it shall be. the_undertow talk 04:25, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Doczilla's RfA
Nosernamesleft
Hi, The undertow, thanks for voting in my RfA, which passed with 47 supports (I hoped for a perfect square, but two away is close enough!), 3 opposes (the first odd prime), and 0 neutrals. I'm glad the community has decided to trust me with the mop and bucket (the flamethrower isn't supported). Of course, special thanks goes to my nominators Auawise and that one guy who buried stuff (not that the thanks I give to the you isn't special!).
