[edit] Welcome!

Hello, The Invisible Hand, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We're glad to have you in our community! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make mistakes at some point, here is what Wikipedia is not, which might help you out. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages, add a question to the village pump, or ask me. The Community Portal can also be very useful.

Happy editing! -[[User:Mysekurity|Mysekurity]] [[additions | e-mail]] 23:18, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

P.S. While I disagree with your vote on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of YTMND fads, I would still love to see you around the community, provided you make great edits (which I'm sure you will). Thanks for creating an account, and happy editing!

[edit] Please Use Edit Summaries

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Jmlk17 21:24, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
