And Full Disclosure. By the way, I moved the two on the GA page from "Televsion and Radio shows and series" to "Television episodes". Lampman 14:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

wikiassessment

you've assessed 600 articles in three days, you've got WAY too much free time!!:P

Cam 17:14, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi, just got a message from you. Wrong number! :-) From the history looks like User:Climie.ca left the note above, not me. Cheers, Cam 18:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Your assessments

I am curious about your assessments lately. It is a complete mystery to me what criteria you use. While the tag asks “please give a short summary at comments to explain the ratings” you consequently fail to do that. I was surprised to see that the article Talk:Agueci Brothers see rated B while there are tags Verify and Cleanup and there are serious doubts about the reliabilty of the references. The article Talk:Giuseppe Impastato, which does not have these questions raised, is rated as Start. Could you please explain your assessment criteria. They seem very inconsistent to me. - Mafia Expert 20:28, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar!

Unfortunately, I can't say it was originally my idea. I first encountered it as a user's proposal for a 'spring cleaning' week; I can't remember who it was and he/she has since deleted the subpage. The idea never happened, but I thought it was just too good to pass up. (On that note, if you remember who first came up with the spring cleaning idea, let me know so I can give him or her the deserved credit.) Crystallina 14:55, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Reflists

Hello. You replaced < references/ > with {{reflist|2}} on the G&S article. I have seen people replace this with reflist 1, 2, 3, and 4. What are the functions of these different reflists, and why are they better than <references/ >, which is what [[WP:CITE]] says to use? Thanks for any explanation you can offer. -- Ssilvers

Ah, ha! Thanks for solving that mystery for me! -- Ssilvers

Accidental signature, sources template

Hi, just thought I'd let you know that you accidentally signed your edit on the Grimes sisters article when adding the sources template. No big deal, however, I removed it. It also seems that User:ColdCase is refuting your justified placement of the template, and reverted it. I reverted it back, and explained on his talk page how it is indeed unsourced, and I'm not sure how that will turn out. Phew. See you around, and good luck assessing, María (habla conmigo) 21:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Just wondering if you cared to comment on the discussion? I believe this user is merely having trouble comprehending Wikipedia policy and terms, but an extra voice would be quite helpful in explaining, especially since you originally tagged the article. María (habla conmigo) 23:54, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
I'll take that as a no, then...? María (habla conmigo) 12:08, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Recent assessments

Hi, GP. You've made several assessments on Irish historical biogs, but I don't see any comments on the related talk pages eg. [1]. Have I overlooked them? It would be useful to have at least your main criterion for each assessment. PS - the preview on this post is screwed up, so I can't tell if it will post properly.--shtove 21:14, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. Is this article really start class [2]? It's not obvious to me.--Shtove 20:10, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

John Crichton-Stuart

Hi. I noticed you touched the talk page of "John Crichton-Stuart, 5th Marquess of Bute", and I was wondering if you had any personal connection. Cheers.LCP 01:30, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

OH MY GOD

I love your user page! Did you write the background script thing or get it somewhere? Blu Pickles 01:51, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Aagh! :-)

I was reading Duke of Wellington, but by the time I'd got to the talk page you'd assessed it! I see you put it as list class. Should Duke of Somerset be list class as well? Carcharoth 12:49, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Please don't

Hello Giant Puffin. This is just a note to ask you to please not remove the blank spaces on the British film lists by decades pages. I am roughly half way through my task of entering films on these lists. It is a far easier task when I have blank lines to put the new entries in. I know that you were just trying to be efficient and make the pages look cleaner and I will remove the extras blanks when I am finished. I was fortunate enough to see several of your flying cousins when I lived in Alaska in the early 90's and they were a treat to watch. Thank you for your time and happy editing. MarnetteD | Talk 21:21, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

You are right. When Blofeld started these he had one at the top. It must have gotten lost when he seperated them out by decade. I will go and reinsert it. Thanks for the reminder. MarnetteD | Talk 21:25, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

WP Biography

Hello Puffin, the question of which of us is being rude depends on the legitimacy of your Wikiproject. It's unique among Wikiprojects, as far as I know, in that its topic is so broad that participants need have no particular knowledge of any field to participate--every field of knowledge has articles about people. So, commentless ratings left by WP Biography participant will, even more than usual, have no justification, and hence there is no reason for anyone else to make use of them. This is why I think the WP Biography project is useless and why its banners ought (except in the rare cases that they are justified by informed comment) to be deleted.

Somewhat more encouragingly from your point of view, it seems that the number of people who want to participate in this unhappy project is large, and it is hopeless to reverse the tide. My current plan it to ignore these banners from now on. Yours sincerely, Opus33 14:43, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

The Good Article Medal of Merit

The Good Article Medal of Merit
I have awarded you this medal for your work in helping to reduce the backlog during the Good Article Candidates Backlog Elmination Drive. You reviewed five or more articles during the drive, which helped to contribute to the large decrease in the backlog. If you have the time, please continue to review articles to help make sure the backlog does not jump back up to what it was. Good job and happy editing! Nehrams2020 02:29, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

South West Coast Path

You added a couple of {{prose}} templates. Could you have a look at my suggestion on the talk page? PamD 21:46, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

A thanks and a complaint

Thanks for assessing those articles I was just about to do :O. However, I don't see how Emanuele Crialese is Start. It's barely one line long, not including the filmography. Same for Bernie Hamilton. I know we have to be generous in our ratings, but not many articles are shorter than that. I've reassessed them as Stub. Thank you. Psychless 22:54, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject Novels Colloborations, with WP:James Bond

I have nominated this for the WikiProject Novels, Colloboration of the Month so that with ours we can get this up to GA status. It needs a few votes, but I don't think it will get it within a day, but I'm trying. SpecialWindler talk 07:12, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
