[edit] Berliner
>I can still say "Ich bin ein Berliner" without being accused of being untruthful
Only if you're a jelly doughnut. One says "Ich bin Berliner" or "Ich bin Deutscher" if you mean you're from a particular place. - Dan Dank55 (talk) 20:45, 8 March 2008 (UTC) P.S. Yes I know JFK got it wrong. - Dan Dank55 (talk) 20:45, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- Indeed, now that you mention it, I do remember having read about that mistake... I could as well have said "Ich bin ein Hamburger". I suppose I'll have to think of whether to change the phrasing, acknowledging the mistake... Or simply leave it standing, in case it stimulates another creative response. Dilemmas, dilemmas...
