User talk:The Dean of Cincinnati

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am The Dean of Cincinnati, and my thoughts about Open Source Government match the Wikipedia philosophy. I first discovered Wikipedia when I found that someone posted a version of my essay on Open Source Government. The Dean approves of the good work done here.

[edit] Concerning Dean of Cincinnati

Hello! Dean of Cincinnati is not the appropriate spot to post information about yourself, because that's the encyclopedic part of the Wikipedia website. User:The Dean of Cincinnati, however, is all yours to use more or less as you wish. Please see Wikipedia:Introduction and Wikipedia:User page for more information. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Cincinnati Beacon. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. --Chris (talk) 00:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:17, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Justin Jeffre.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
