Complaints

Addition of param on {{Infobox road}}

Apparently the new parameter, multiplex, doesn't work, and I've reverted it. There was no consensus for it to be added, and it doesn't fall inline with WP:USRD/INNA standards anyway. (zelzany - fish) 14:45, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Please see the reply on my talk page. Thanks, (zelzany - fish) 16:41, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

A complaint about your spelling of "complaints"

Hi. The name of this section should be Complaints, the plural form of the noun complaint, and not Complains, which is the third person form of the verb complain. -- Meni Rosenfeld (talk) 13:52, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Heya! i just wanted to comment on your image Image:WPGHR Articles Coverage.PNG. I've done some work on Elgin and Lambton Counties, as well. i thought perhaps they should be colour-coded to something other than white, as well... RingtailedFoxTalkStalk 14:57, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Highways 6+10

Good work; I just happened to be looking at Kennedy Road (Peel, not Toronto) and added the arenas (Powerade and Hershey...I'm offline for supper and the evening (Fireworks at Ontario Place)..I'll look back tomorrow (on my watch list) Bacl-presby 21:23, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

Ontario provincial highways template

alright. sounds fair. However, what should i do for "recycled numbers", such as Highway 77 (formerly used in Dutton in the 1950s, now used from Leamington to Highway 401? split into Highway 77 and Highway 77 (Original)? RingtailedFoxTalkStalk 16:34, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Of course. However, perhaps we should have an entire article, listing all of the decommissioned highways, with a link to that article from the template, to prevent the overcrowding you and i fear? We could list only the major ones, such as Highway 100, Highway 102 (first dual carriageway in canada, now Cootes Drive), and so on... RingtailedFoxTalkStalk 14:59, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Wahaha Danone joint venture

I just created this article on this very topical subject. The subject matter would make for a good featured article, so I am hoping to enlist your help to get it there qualitatively. Ohconfucius 03:15, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Free usage bar

Just wondering, Smcafirst, how did you get the "Say NO to free usage" bar down on the bottom at your user page! I love it. Thanks,   •Silver•   Talk 15:38, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Re: GHRWP

Hey! Sorry I was away so much lately, I had tons of homework, I had work and lots of day-outs. I just copied and pasted the Downtown Markham logo onto the top and the road name font is Century Gothic.

"mostly cantopop if that's alright with the rest of you"

That's perfectly fine; Luckyluke and Andrew Eng are both mostly Cantopop as well. Pandacomics 20:18, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Cpop workgroup

I notice that you indicated interest in a Cantopop music project. So far, we have three people in a taskforce for modern Chinese music (including Cantopop and Mandopop) and I was just wondering if you'd be interested in joining up. Pandacomics 20:39, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Er, well WikiProject Modern Chinese music has now been started up, and that definitely covers Cantopop, as you are an expert in said field. If you're still willing to come along, feel free to join the party! Pandacomics 19:05, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

About your anti "Bot messages"

if you don't want bot messages, add {{nobots}}, instead of assuming everyone is bots. By assuming everyone are bots, seems to be a bit negative. AzaToth 23:24, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Yep. You are in effect making it difficult for people to contact you, and refusing to read potentially meaningful responses from users because you're not assuming good faith. That is not a very good attitude. Please consider changing your setup. >Radiant< 09:10, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
    • I am sorry to hear that. But I did not mean Anti-bots. I do want to receive bot messages, but it just that, I want to classify my messages into organized categories. So what do you think?

 Smcafirst | Chat  at 13:59, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

  • That's okay. I'd suggest rewording the message at the top of your page a bit, and making the chart clearer. I fail to see the point of what you're doing but don't let that stop you. >Radiant< 14:33, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Highways with the same names

Since Ontario recycles highways, what should the proper syntax be for these recycled number designations? I have a few below, as well as for alternate and business routes:

For Highways:

  • Highway xx (Ontario, original)
  • Highway xx (Original, Ontario)
  • Highway xx (Ontario, year)
  • Highway xx (Ontario, year-year)

For spur routes:

  • Highway xx A (Location, Ontario)
  • Highway xx B (Location, Ontario year-year)
  • Highway xx A (Original, Location, Ontario)
  • Highway xx A (Location, Ontario, Original)
  • Highway xx B (Location, Ontario, original)

Or should they simply be listed at the bottom of any articles that have the current designations? and if so, should they have the "Defunct Ontario provincial highways" category at the bottom, even if the designation is still in use today?

It's up to you, though. I'm just trying to help improve the Ontario highway articles. RingtailedFoxTalkStalk 22:09, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
