[edit] Welcome! & EE

Hello, The 13th 4postle! I'm ulayiti, and I'd like to welcome you to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions, and I hope you'll like the place enough to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

When commenting on talk pages or voting, you should always sign your name by typing in four tildes (~~~~). This way people will know who made the comment and can respond to you. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask me on my talk page. You can also have a look at the help pages or put up a question at the village pump. Welcome to Wikipedia, and happy editing!

By the way, I modified your edits to IB Diploma Programme and Extended Essay a bit. There is no minimum number of words for the EE, it just has to have enough stuff in it. - ulayiti (talk) (my RfA) 10:35, 4 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Nasser_talking.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Nasser_talking.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] You are not being civil

And you are wrong, here is a background Decimal separator, as for my education it is fine thank you very much. But I believe you hate Chavez and that does not contribute to a NPOV article. Flanker 15:48, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please refrain from personal attacks

Could I suggest that mundane editorial disagreements are most likely to resolve quickly and productively when editors observe the following:

  • Remain polite per WP:Civility.
  • Solicit feedback and ask questions.
  • Keep the discussion focused. Concentrate on a small set of related matters and resolve them to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Focus on the subject rather than on the personalities of the editors.

Thanks!

I don't appreciate being called a crony[1]

BTW you forgot to read this part: "However, as the middle dot was already in common use in the mathematics world to indicate multiplication, the SI rejected this use of the middle dot as the decimal separator." SI > US or UK. Flanker 16:59, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks!

Please refrain from calling me a crony,[2] I am not what you accuse me or attack me for being. As for SI I prefer using scientific standards as opposed to weird traditional ones. Flanker 20:46, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I ask you again to be civil

It seems to me that you are acting in an uncivil manner. Please remain civil and don't resort to making personal attacks or instigating edit wars. I don't know how moving[3] a candidate that bows out of the race is supposed to be biased, my edits are in good faith, so please I ask again that this be civil.[4] Flanker 22:17, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. JRSP 22:22, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Please check the WP:3RR policy: "Editors who revert a page in whole or in part more than three times in 24 hours, except in certain special circumstances, are likely to be blocked from editing" Please, discuss differences in talk page. JRSP 22:44, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
I've just filled a report about this JRSP 00:06, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] You have to assume good faith

I appreciate the apology, and yes it was a coincidence. I was re-reading the article again and it struck me, what the heck is Rausseu doing here? So I moved it, it was as simple as that. Flanker 22:36, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

I don't have to prove good faith... it is simply something you do to others and expect in return. I saw it today, did not like it and moved it, that is what wikipedia is about WP:bold Flanker 22:45, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
WP:bold is not a rule it is a guideline, it simply means don't be afraid of changing something simply because it has been like that for a while. There are other rules for changing stuff, but statements like "well it has been that way since forever until you changed it" is not really applicable. Flanker 22:54, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
Well that is good because I am neither vandalising, using sockpuppets or lying.Flanker 22:57, 24 November 2006 (UTC)
Actually it never crossed my mind, nor did I in that edit called him a main candidate, just that it was where his name was so I added the news. Flanker 23:34, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3RR block

Hello. You have been blocked from editing for 24 hours due to a 3RR violation. Please be more careful in the future. Thanks in advance. El_C 08:59, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Please sign your comments

As a courtesy for other editors, it is a Wikipedia guideline to sign your talk page and user talk page posts. To do so simply add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comments and your user name or IP address and the date will be automatically added along with a timestamp. Signing your comments helps people to find out who said something and provides them with a link to your user/talk page (for further discussion). For further info see the talk page guidelines. Thank you. JRSP 16:42, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] No personal attacks, please.

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. —Pilotguy (push to talk) 21:50, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Your edits to Daniel Brandt can be considered vandalism. *Dan T.* 04:44, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Invasion of Machurucuto

Hey, I removed the {{POV}} tag you put on the above article. This is only used if there is content dispute within the article, and seeing as you are the only person who is writing the article (except me stubbing it) look like you are have a POV dispute with yourself ;). Anyway if you need any further help don't hesitate to give me a shout. Cheers Khukri 15:04, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commercial use of Image:Venprotester.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Venprotester.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Venprotester.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Venprotester.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 03:35, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] No personal attacks

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on user:The 13th 4postle. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. JRSP 03:21, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

With regard to your comments on user:The 13th 4postle: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you.JRSP 10:46, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

In your user page you say you suspect I am "paid to edit wikipedia articles". This is a personal attack. JRSP 13:21, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, Carlitos, will you remove the personal attack from your user page or do I need to report this at Wikiquette alerts? JRSP 12:24, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Please do not attack other editors. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please refrain from attacking other users, rather than the content. Here is another user that does not appreciate your aggressiveness anywhere in wikipedia even if it is on your user page. Flanker 12:59, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you.Flanker 14:57, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia is about assuming good faith

Which is an actual guideline WP:AGF...Flanker 15:00, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

You cannot "lose" good faith in Wikipedia, either you have evidence or you are stuck assuming good faith.Flanker 12:49, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] No personal attacks

This is your last warning.
If you continue to make personal attacks on other people, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. [5] Flanker 17:45, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Spartan.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Spartan.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:29, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
