[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:The Beach Boys.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:The Beach Boys.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. --Kbh3rdtalk 03:15, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Reggie Miller.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Reggie Miller.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Seidenstud (talk) 05:49, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] June 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Black Death, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you believe there has been a mistake and would like to report a false positive, please report it here and then remove this warning from your talk page. If your edit was not vandalism, please feel free to make your edit again after reporting it. The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Black Death was changed by TheMatty (u) (t) making a minor change adding "!!!" on 2008-06-05T03:56:55+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot (talk) 03:57, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to Black Death. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Calvin 1998 (t-c) 04:00, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Black Death. Jclemens (talk) 04:03, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for vandalism. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. -Royalguard11(T·R!) 04:35, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "I was not using greatest as a good thing in the Black Death article. I mean't to use greatest as a substitute for most recognized just like how someone uses greatest for intensity to describe a storm or Hurricane. Please be just and consider forgiving me."

Decline reason: "Oh, how could we make that mistake! You've clearly been making well-intended edits. Sorry, but no can do. — Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 04:52, 5 June 2008 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:The Beach Boys.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:The Beach Boys.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. -- Mark Chovain 05:51, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Conditional Unblock

I'm going to give you a conditional unblock, basically a second chance. Please note that if you engage in any more vandal-like edits you will be re-blocked without any other chances. I suggest you try the talk page when editing controversial pages (which some user see as vandalism, especially from newer users). Please do try to adhere to our policies and guidelines (there are ones for images and use of images too). If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask someone on their talk page. -Royalguard11(T·R!) 00:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
