[edit] Suggestion

Not sure if this is the best place to put this or not, but hey! It would be useful if it could be combined with the new patrol option, so patrolled pages would not appear in the box. I am not sure how easy or hard it would be to implement, just an idea. Thank you. Tiddly-Tom 17:30, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

I have tried, but there is not the necessary api functionality available at the moment, and I am not going to screen-scrape the whole page. Don't worry, when the api becomes available, it will be implemented. --TheJosh 05:03, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Thank you very much. Tiddly-Tom 10:05, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
I was just about to suggest the same thing. It will be exeedingly awsome. Do you know if they plan to adjust the API soon? Maybe you can request it at the bugzilla. Martijn Hoekstra (talk) 16:50, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps. I guess, if people really want this thing I can screen-scrape the recent pages page rather than go through the API. It will increase the bandwidth though (a request to the api is about 530 bytes, wheres Special:Newpages is about 7 kb), and it will be slower because it needs more processing. If people want this then I will do it. --TheJosh (talk) 21:53, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ignore bots?

This is a great script, I've been using it for about two months now. Is there a way to ignore bot edits? There are a few approved bots which create redirect pages, and they show up, but I'd rather not see them. Thanks Yngvarr 14:23, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ampersands

The script hates ampersands (i.e. &). If an ampersand is in the name of a new article, the script will display the full title of the new article. However, when you click on the article, you are redirected to a page whose title consists of all characters before the ampersand. The ampersand and all characters after are ignored.
