[edit] James Ida

Your recent contribution(s) to to the Wikipedia article James Ida are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. Thanks! --Calton | Talk 01:15, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] William Cutolo

A tag has been placed on William Cutolo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. American Patriot 1776 04:20, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Reference works

I see you've been doing a lot of work on figures from organized crime. A hint for the future - if you have a copy of any True Crime works by Jay Robert Nash, they are absolutely not suitable for use as reference. Check our article on Nash for reasons why. DS 14:21, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vincenzo Aloi

TheChin,

In regards your recent article, Vincenzo Aloi, is this Vincenzo "Buster" Aloi or his son ? I'm assuming it's his son, however I wasn't aware he had such a high position in the crime family. The article was previously redirected to the Colombo crime family and I've been trying to add some additional information. MadMax 13:57, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lawrence Brescio

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Lawrence Brescio, by Stormbay, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Lawrence Brescio fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

This article does not establish the importance of the subject. It is short, lacks context and does not establish notability

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Lawrence Brescio, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Lawrence Brescio itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 22:30, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Anthony Scotto, Jr.

A tag has been placed on Anthony Scotto, Jr. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
