[edit] MK0 Article

Note your concerns about the MK0 article. I drafted but haven't got round to inserting additonal material. I am a member of the lodge btw. ALR 20:48, 30 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Secondary Access.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Secondary Access.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

I take all my own pictures and uploaded several in one session. I think I must have failed to click the appropriate copyright tag on this single picture. The irony is that these pictures can exist no where else. There are, as far as I know, no other photographs of Wallace's Larder. TheBourtreehillian 17:22, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Updates on Bourtreehill, etc.

Hello. Good to hear from you. Your sites are looking good. I have recently finished a site on Eglinton Country Park and linked it to several others. I have also added details of the cycle path and some external links. The satellite imagery is particularly interesting. Rosser 16:56, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your recent edits

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Wikisigbutton.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 11:55, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

I just forgot...Mr. Bot. :) TheBourtreehillian 12:08, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Eglinton links

Very good reply :-) He would indeed be better off enhancing articles rather than just giving 'helpful' criticisms. Did you get my reply to your last message - on the Bourtreehill Forum? Rosser 13:39, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wallace's Larder

Hello. Good photographs. I haven't been at the castle for some years. It seems to have been tidied up and repaired a bit. Talking of dead bodies - Have a look at my Auchenharvie castle site. The Gravestone article is interesting - Maybole old cemetery has a number of good examples, as does Temple near Dalkeith. Rosser 15:04, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

No problems; thanks for the comments. Gwinva 07:11, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Burgh of Irvine

Hello BTHN. I managed to get lost on the New Town Trail through Bourtreehill today - on the way to Eglinton. It is a shame that the woodlands are not being managed. They must have been magificent in their prime. Richard - book dealer - confirms the scarcity of your Burgh of Irvine book. Cooper Hay - Antique Books in Glasgow could well be your best bet.Rosser 19:26, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

If its any use, the Irvine library have two copies of the McJannet book in their Reference section. You may already know this but thought I'd mention it anyway. :-)
There's also a person selling the book on Amazon.com, however it's a rather expensive £85 or so! --Dreamer84 11:07, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Sorry to hear about your situation. I do have one or two sources of rare historical books relating to the local area, its mainly three towns stuff but I will have a look to see if McJannet is there, never know. --Dreamer84 13:45, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Girdle Toll

Someone has messed up the site - do you know how to revert it? I will have a go if i can find time.Rosser 09:14, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The History of Britain Revealed

A tag has been placed on The History of Britain Revealed, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Truthanado (talk) 01:27, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

In response to the message you left me on my talk page, I would like to clarify a few things. You might want to take a look at Wikipedia:Deletion policy and Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. I would like to make it clear that I do not delete articles. I and thousands of other Wikipedians are new page patrollers who check out new articles and apply well-defined policies to them. It was my opinion that this article failed to satisfy some of those policies so I tagged it for deletion. In particular, it was written like an advertisement; the price of the book and where to buy it were key items in my decision. After it is tagged, one of several thousand Wikipedia administrators then looks at tagged articles and deletes them if he or she agrees with the assessment. If you disagree with the assessment, you have the ability to add the {{hangon}} tag, which prevents its speedy deletion; discussion is then held and a consensus is generally required before the article is deleted. The arguments you gave on my talk page would have been good justification to save the article, which sadly has already been deleted. If you would like to recreate the article, please feel free to do so. Be careful about making it sound like an advertisement though. Write it using encyclopedic style, simply stating the facts. And please do not give a price and a place to buy it - that will undoubtedly cause it to be speedy-deleted again. Truthanado (talk) 02:25, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
I've also added some more pointers at User talk:Accounting4Taste where you left a note. I'd sugest you review the style of the entries there as it may help. If you need me to recreate the article and put it in your user space to work on I'd be happy to. Pedro :  Chat  15:50, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of A.J. Morton

An editor has nominated A.J. Morton, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/A.J. Morton and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 10:44, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Silent Scream

Some of the stuff you've said on the AFD for Jamie Morton convinces me that the article Silent Scream (1990 film) needs a bit of work. Presently, it makes no mention of the award nominations (and wins), reception and suchlike. We can source this; Film Four's work ought to be notable. --Kife 22:14, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
