Welcome to my userpage! My name is Mathieu, but I prefer to be known on Wikipedia as Themat21III. Since late 2005, I have contributed anonymously to this site by editing articles and posting unsigned comments on talk pages. Eventually, I created an account to be able to actively help Wikipedia, a site which has helped me to learn about almost everything I'm interested in.

I believe that one day all the important articles on Wikipedia will be featured articles. It is possible only of all Wikipedians follow the guidelines.

I have recently started to translate articles from French to English.

I expect to work a
lot on this project.

[edit] Things I have to do

• Improve Wikipedia's articles about important subjects.
• Help the French version of Wikipedia and, if possible, the Spanish version to make sure their quality is on par with any other version.
  • Improve English articles whose French and/or Spanish counterpart is featured.
  • Improve French and Spanish articles whose English counterpart is featured.
• Report vandalism.
• Be involved in discussions to make Wikipedia better.
• Support the developpement of Simple English Wikipedia. This version uses simple words that can be understood by anyone who has a basic knowledge of English. It is as important as the other versions, and it's easy to write.

[edit] What I dislike

I don't like pseudo-experts (people who pretend they know about a subject without having studied it). That is why I support Wikipedia's original research policy, the verifiability guideline and the citation policy. Anyone can edit Wikipedia, but that doesn't mean you can write whatever you want.

I also dislike vandalism. This act is completely useless and is punished by Wikipedia. Further information: Wikipedia:vandalism.

I hate when people say that Wikipedia is an unreliable source of information because everyone can edit it. I mean, if a person believes so, then he/she should do something to make things better. If you think an article has been written incorrectly, then tell me. I will fix it.
