[edit] History
The Hug Group's origins can be traced back to one woman, Gill Hodgetts, and her fight against cancer. Gill, one of the founders of The Hug Group, fought cancer for the second time and defeated it, despite being told she had no chance of ever having a full remission. Gill achieved this with the help of proper nutrition and natural health supplements.
Gill had been a campainer and fundraiser for Cancer Research UK for many years, following her recovery from cancer she decided to set up a support group. The idea grew from not only supporting cancer sufferers and their friends and families to offering practical help and support to anyone with any sort of problem at all. The Hug Group's co-founder Nick Hawker, was founder of Vitafoods, an international exposition dealing in the field of Neutraceuticals.
