[edit] Obi City's Bio.

Obi City or The Obi City Show was created by a group who calls them selves "the Obi Citizens". They're a comedy group out of Garland and Sachse, Texas (Suburbs of Dallas). Fisrt est. in 2002.

[edit] The Beginning

Obi City first started out as a South Park parody created by Bryant Varnell and a friend. The Idea was later dropped, and Obi City had almost disapeared for ever...

[edit] The Obi City Show

Then one day when Bryant and a friend were watching Saturday Night Live there was an episode that really made the two feel like they could write better stiks then SNL. So the following week Bryant talked too Kyle Crawford, Michael Carte about writing sketches. So thats when they all decided to write and create a shetch comedy show. The First Skits were simple, Retro-Cop, Psychotic Vet with Mob Connections, and so on, but they did not have a name for the show. That's when Bryant remember the name he and his friend came up with. Obi City! So then Obi City started to grow, they soon met the last co-creator of the group Dusty Rhodes.

Not long after the skits came in the boy decided to make a movie.

The Wild Emory This as a short Documentary/spoof written by Bryant and EMORY. It spoofed National Geographics Documentary's, with Bryant narrating and EMORY as the wild creature.

The Terror of Emory The Idea first came about when Emory was playing with a small toy car and was acting like he was going to eat it. Bryant had just watched The Terror of Mechagodzilla and came up with a great idea for a movie. The Terror of Emory story was that two hobo's (played by Logan and Phillip) who find the terror of emory (voiced by EMORY). An Amoral in the NAVY (played by Scott), a thief (played by Richard), and a Mayor (played by Michael) also get involved. Filming was completed, but the movie itself was put on hold.

Long Arm of the Law A police comedy spoofing such shows as COPS, Dragnet, Law and Order, Kung-Fu, and Magnum PI. This movie was about a sun flower seed ring in Obi City. Bryant, Logan, Michael, Phillip, Dusty, Alex, and EMORY were police officers. Scott played the Mayor, Kyle played a seed dealer, and EMORY again as the mobster Fat Gut. This movie was dropped right in the middle of production.

Obi City's The TERROR of EMORY aka Obi City: The Movie This contains parts from the terror of emory, long arm of the law, and skits created for the show. This movie was 4 years in the making. The movie was sent to The USA Dallas Film Festival (See below).
