for the past year i have used this site as a simple resource, and never found a reason to register.
last month i started making a game called logical dirt with little intent of selling it.
i managed to make it worth playing two weeks ago, and i posted it on a site devoted to games made with the program i had used.
only about 3 people downloaded it, and nobody commented on it.
after two weeks of doing other things, i got back to trying to show people this game, and i started by trying to make an article about the game
without really understanding how to make an article look all spiffy like so many others, i started by giving it a name and a short introduction and saved it out of habit, and continued adding to it, after a few minutes i tried to save it and found that it was being discussed for deletion. i feel this was rather unfair since i hadn't even started to form this article, i got rather irritated and just finished up what i had written. i don't think that i can stand this environment, it seems that the people in charge of deleting articles have become so used to it that they don't think too much about it, if people waited for a while before deciding to raise the subject of deleting a new article, they might have found it to be worth keeping when it got improved.
i don't feel to happy with the way that my first article went, very discouraging to have it considered for deletion before i even have a whole paragraph. i think that these people should pay more attention to the timestamp before effectively disabling the article.. perhaps they could send me a message and ask me what i intend to do rather than giving the article an eviction notice.
