Welcome to my page, surprised you cared enough to look!

Now that you're here, you can find out that I am actually a Political Scientist hailing from Amsterdam, where I live happily with my girlfriend and my cat.

Of all things, I probably enjoy travelling the most, meeting new people and learning new languages (and sadly forgetting most rather quickly!). I have had a diverse range of jobs, most recently including an executive assistant to an emerging European Masters Programme, and an editor of Teletext news in Amsterdam. Currently I have returned to my studies and am finishing my MA thesis on the emerging European Defence.

Other than that, I enjoy music (both passively and actively) and movies (only passively alas) and am an avid player of the game Diplomacy.

As Wikipedian, I have put myself to a ton of tasks, a bit too much of course. I am member of several WikiProjects: Military History, European Union, Countering systemic bias. As contributor, I focus mainly on articles on the emerging European Defence policy, though recently my enjoyable entanglements in all sorts of matters (AfD's, mediation attempts here and there and such) are slowing those down.

[edit] Quiz

Having read about an interesting philosophical quiz on User:Silverback's page, I decided to try it out. The quiz can be found here, and much to my surprise I was a lot less materialist (in a philosophical sense) than I expected! This is my result:

You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.
