That same year his mother would soffer her first stroke, brought on by her weight and drug use. He and his 2 eldest siblings where sent to live with their grandparents while their mother recooperated from the stroke. Sean experienced alot at an early age having smoked marijuana for the first time while he was 8. His sister had her first child at the age of 14 while Sean was 9. He has stated in recent interviews, "I used to help my sister with her kids when I was little, I would change their diapers and stuff it was gross but I felt bad for her, she was so young and having to raise a kid by herself." Having experience what some 20 year olds have yet to experience at such a young age, he grew up very street smart. Knowing that gangs would get you killed and the drugs would get you put in jail, he quickly stop doing drugs and involved himself in sports and music.
[edit] Twizted Humor
In 1998, he and his family moved to Nashville, TN to be closer to his mothers siblings. While in Nashville Sean became friends with a different type of crowd that he wasn't normally used to. His new friends being more of a outcast grudge type click, when his old friends from back home where more of a hip hop gang related crowd. While in Nashville, he was introduced to the Nu-Metal music genre. Having never been part of this type of crowd, Sean quickly adapted to the new atomsphere and graced his new found group. His lifestyle change after his time spent in the group, having a new self respect and liking how he was and not careing about other peoples opinions, he and his brother became born again christians. After only one year in Nashville, he and his family moved back to Orange because of money problems, being that his mother couldn't work because of her handicap. At the young age of 14 Sean bought his first bass guitar. "My first guitar was a 4 string Ibanez sound gear. I bought it at a pawn shop for only $200 and I was shocked being that those guitars are usally around $400 to $500," Sean stated in a interview with Juice Box Radio. Not long after he purchase his guitar, he and his brother formed the Nu-Metal group Twizted Humor. No one knew that Sean was in the band because he would paint his face while performing shows and he went by the name Freq. The name Freq comes from Sean's high school days where all his friends said he dressed too freaky because he had long hair and wore fish net shirts. While in the band, Twizted Humor put out 2 CD's from 2000-2006. the first one was a self titled EP released on April 20,2001. And the second was a LP entitled Life Uv A Child. It was a record that Sean and Michael said reflected back on their childhood. The record was record in late 2002 and was set to release in mid 2003 through Lavacci Butrell Entertainment, but due to legal and funding issues, the label was shut down and the record was never released. The EP was said to have only produced about 200 copies in which no copy can be found today. After the negoiations with Lavacci Butrell Entertainment fell through, Twizted Humor was set to perform and record on their own terms. The band went through various changes due to religious beliefs and musical differences. But Sean, Michael, and the guitarist Rodney Seal, are the only original members of the band today. In early 2006 the band would change once more, drummer Chris Riehle would quit in January to leave for Air Force basic training, not long after, Sean would leave the band himself for the same reasons. Michael and Rodney continued to write songs until Michael would leave the band to move to Mississippi. But in 2007 Sean has stated that the band would once again be reunited and will start writting again in late 2007. "I have been writting like crazy, our stuff will be much more harder and twice the intensity will be put into our shows when we come back," Sean says.
[edit] Wrestling
In 2001 Sean and his friends starting a wrestling organization called Backyard Wrestling Federation. He along with his brother were the 2 main stars of the federation. He kept the monicore Freq while his brother went by the name Blackdeath, which resembled the WWE's Undertaker. Blackdeath was supposed to be a reanimated zombie from the 18th century England who died from the plague. Sean would go on to win every title in the BWF without ever being defeated. After he displayed great charisma, athletic abilities, and performence, Championship Wrestling Alliance bookie Chelsea Abbot would sign Sean along with several other stars including his brother, to her newly formed wrestling organization. There Sean would change his persona from Freq, a charismatic high flyer, to a cocky eragant heel, and use his real name with the trademark "The Icon" put in front of it. While in the CWA Sean would start a rivaly with Michael Manuel who went by the name "Syko", a Hannibal Lechter character who was known for biting his opponents. Manuel who was one of the superstars signed from the BWF, had a long history with working with Sean. After 2 years of battling with Sean, Manuel was finally able to defeat The Icon and be the first man to ever defeat him, ending his 5 year undefeated streak. Sean holds a record for longest undefeated streak in any professional sport his record being 315 wins with no loses, but being that all his wins where staged, the record did not qualify for a legit World Record. Sean was the only person in the CWA to be given a Grandslam Championship belt for all his title reigns. He was the only person to hold all Male titles in the organization at one time. His titles include all of the following, Highflying championship, X-Treme Championship, BWF Championship, BWF World Heavyweight Championship all held while in the BWF, T.V. Championship, Technical Champion, CWA World tag team championship held with "The Moose" Randy Moss, CWA World Heavyweight Championship, and Grandslam Championship all held while in the CWA. After his time in the CWA, Sean left to join the Intense Professional Wrestling organization where he would go on to win the IPW World Heavyweight championship on 2 occasions before quiting the wrestling game altogether.
