Born in the bronx bread I brooklyn native newyorker nina b is still carving what will soon become her legacy. Rap is her genre hip hop is home base but versatility is her best quality.

NINA.B has definately found a lable to support her endevers one with similar goals and a mutual respect. NINA.B has been with RAVENELRECORDS since 2003... As a female artist under a female owned lable she and AMBER RAVENEL CEO Have truly broken barriers in the music industry... for instance NINA.B'S song "CAN'T STOP" has been pick of the week on hot 97's morning show with MS.JONES and DJ ENVY, NINA.B has been featured on BET's RAPCITY 4 times, NINA has been highlighted on shows and programs like THE DRAHMA HOUR with DJ KAYSLAY twice ( along with songs like "CHARATERS","IN THIS BITCH","COMETOGETHER " etc... in rotation.), also on KAY SLAY's sirius satellite show, CIFER SOUNDS don't quit your day job on SIRIUS SATELLITE, on the spot with DJ GREEN LANTERN, phenominal feats to accomplish at the hands of an "unsigned artist" represented by an "indie lable". However NINA.B continues to strive and infact thrives off the reasurrance of existance that she feels when making believers out of non believers... Yo might remember NINA.B from the years she spent perched in front of the VIRGIN MEGASTORE in NEWYORK on 14th street one of the many locations that helped her mover over 10,000 mixtapes collectively hand2hand NINA.B is has left her mark on all aspects of hip hop even the fashion...

When When did NINA.B begin?

To get technical NINA.B was about 6 or 7 when she freestyled her first flows on her PLAY SCHOOL recorder but it would be a long hard journey before she would really be able to even fathom what it takes to become a true lyracist... By age nine NINA.B had already been taught the proper way to write poetry the forms and formats. By age nine NINA.B began to keep a journal to hold what was becoming a catalog of poems and songs. It wasn't until the age 13 when NINA.B began to dib and dab into the rap Circuits mostly watching and learning... By age 16 NINA.B was offered a deal BUT she turned it down because NINA.B WRITES HER OWN RHYMES.By age eighteen NINA.B was determined to retire she hadn't realized yet that what she put in is what shed get out. By nineteen NINA.B was going the RUSSLE SIMMONS / BRUCE WILLIS funded programs ART START and HIPHOP PROJECT where she met AMBER RAVENEL the rest is history. Now 6 mixtapes later with an album on the way NINA.B has grown so much so far and so fast because of her consistancy.

Why Why does NINA.B want this so bad?

Family life was not easy for NINA.B a "way out" was always the mission. NINA.B was raised in a very complex single parent home, as the eldest child she would be followed by 1 boy and 2 girls. Her mom who she lived with hailed from st.thomas and puerto rico, she struggled with drugs and achohol, later prescription drugs forcing NINA.B the oldest to grow up fast, and probably exposed her to things she shouldn't have seen and heard. Her father a hustler convict and drug addict certainly did NOT play an active role in her life, however NINA.B never let her parents misfortunes misdirect her future or distract her from her aspirations but yet they actually serve as inspiration to aquire more success.There were many unfortunate circumstances in NINA.B's life from her being homeless, she and her entire family living in a shelter, to actual attempts to harm her and end her life, even attempts to destroy her with slander and hateful games still NINA.B does not reflect a sob story NINA.B reflects the strength in adversity. School wasn't exactly the wonder years for NINA.B especially in high school where she went quickly from honor roll to being labled as a trouble maker with ease. Despite the reputation and being transferred and kicked out of 6 highschools (1199 HSSC, WASHINGTON IRVING, WEST SIDE HIGH, BRWNSVILLE LEARNING CENTER, CANARSIE AWARE,OLD BOYS HIGH even PROSPECT HEIGHTS for a day.) NINA.B was jus misunderstood and very angry with nowhere or way to really release it also being sensitive and defensive made for too many confrontations. With NINA.B all the things she went through and will go through along her way are only proving to be tools and mechanisms designed to prepare her for the future and the present, so she still looks back at her past with pride and to her past for guidance...
