Two Face: The Flip Side is a steel roller coaster at Six Flags America in Prince George's County, Maryland. It is a standard Vekoma Invertigo roller coaster. This coaster has two significant features making it stand out from the older, more traditional-style Boomerang coasters.
According to the Six Flags America web site, as of May, 2008, Two Face: The Flip Side is temporarily closed due to a malfunction that left riders stuck on the ride for about two hours.
[edit] Ride experience
The seating on the trains is not only suspended—the seats are attached to the rail above the riders’ heads—but each row of riders faces the row behind them, essentially everyone is back to back and facing riders in the next row.
The ride seeks to play on the split-personality nature and name of the Batman villain Two Face, by having riders go forward and backward on the track, but at different times for each row of riders.
[edit] Incidents
On October 6, 2007, this roller coaster became stuck going up the chain pull. Prince Georges County Firefighters were called to the scene and 12 people were treated for injuries.[citation needed]
