Thetis Lake
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thetis Lake is actually two lakes (Upper and Lower Thetis) connected by a narrow culvert in the 635 hectare Thetis Lake Regional Park in Victoria, British Columbia, about 12km from the city centre. It was established as Canada's first nature sanctuary in 1958.[1]
The park's facilities include several beaches, forest trails, parking, washrooms and a concession.
The area features many Garry Oak and Douglas fir trees, and the lake is rumoured to hide the Thetis lake monster.
