"Thessaloniki Science Center and Technology Museum - NOESIS" is a foundation, with main objective to offer to the public an environment that would facilitate the familiarisation with and the understanding of Science and Technology. Moreover, the foundation is actively engaged in the protection of the Greek Technological Heritage. NOESIS is located at the outskirts of Thessaloniki, Greece, in a new complex that occupies a surface area of 14.000 m² and includes:

The main Museum Exhibition Hall – an area of 3.300 m² for the museum’s permanent exhibitions
Large Format Theater – 300 seats, with a giant screen of 17m x 23m
Digital Planetarium – 160 seats, dome screen of 18m in diameter
Motion Simulator Theater – three platforms of 6 seats each, 3D projection and 6-axis movement
Auditorium – 200 seats, with the latest audiovisual equipment
Digital Library – 30 seats, 10 Internet, Database and Digital Content access points
Food and Beverage area
Gift shop
Parking area (200 cars and 10 buses)

In the near future, the premises of NOESIS will include:

- Image Technology
- Techno-park, an interactive exhibit area
- Ancient Greek Technology
Center of Creativity and Innovation – a special educational facility
Outdoor Park with Renewable Energy history and exhibits

The "Technology Museum of Thessaloniki" was founded in 1978 as a cultural and educational non-profit organisation. In 1998, the museum initiated a project that aimed at the construction of a new facility and the development of a new spectrum of activities. The project was completed successfully and the new foundation "Thessaloniki Science Center and Technology Museum - NOESIS" was established. The project had a total budget of approximately 29 million € and was co-funded by the European Union, the EEA – EFTA States and the Greek Government.
