THePETEBOX is a beatboxer from Nottingham, UK. He was crowned the Radio 1 beatbox champion in 2004.

THePETEBOX started beatboxing upon hearing Rahzel singing and beatboxing at the same time on CD. From that moment on he dedicated his time to learning and improving with the artform, and started showcasing his skills at some of Nottingham's top music venues. THePETEBOX gained national notoriety by winning the 2004 Radio 1 beatbox championships few months later. This led to media interest, with features on East Midlands Today See THePETEBOX BBC feature, BBC Radio and Kerrang Radio.
He is known for his ability to beatbox a wide range of musical styles including Drum and Bass, Hip Hop, Garage, Techno, even Rock. His diversity and notoriety has led him to perform at some of the countries biggest club nights, such as UK Takeover, Chibuku, Detonate and Firefly and share line ups with artists such as Will Smith, Grooverider, The Human League, Grandmaster Flash to name a few. He has also performed at Festivals such as Germany's Das Fest, Malawi's Lake Of Stars and was billed at the UK's Urban Music Festival, at which his performance was aired on Top of the Pops Saturday alongside Tyte and Shlomo.
In 2006 THePETEBOX added to his titles by winning the humanbeatbox.com Midland beatbox championships after seeing off talent from around the midlands. He spent the rest of the year touring the UK and working on various studio projects.
Recently THePETEBOX became the face of Mexican telecom when he featured in a TV advert for Movistar mobile phones. Watch advert here The advert aired in March 2007 in Mexico and will be shown in Panama and Guatemala later in the year.
2007 holds yet more live shows, including a number of festivals over summer. He is also working on his first studio release, due for completion later in the year.
THePETEBOX is also a member of the bands Swimming (izumi records) and WeShowUpOnRadar (Imoto records)
