Theognostus the Grammarian

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Theognostus the Grammarian (or Theognostus Grammaticus in Latin) was a 9th century writer, known for his book Canons (Canones in Latin and most citations). This work is one of the source texts for A Greek-English Lexicon, a standard work on the Ancient Greek language.

Theognostus the Grammarian should not be confused with the 3rd century Theognostus of Alexandria, or with the 20th century Theognostus of Kiev.
