The Thelephorales is an order of basidiomycete fungi. This group contains some of the tooth fungi, such as Hydnellum and Sarcodon (although most others are in the Russulales) as well as several other species with varying characteristics, such as the blue chanterelle, Polyozellus multiplex.
The Thelephorales were discovered through molecular phylogeny, and have few uniting morphological characters.
Thelephorales are used by scientist for eperimentation for cloning.
