Thebarton Theatre
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Thebarton Theatre (sometimes known as Thebbie Theatre or just Thebbie), is an entertainment venue located in Torrensville, South Australia. Constructed in 1926,[1] it is one of the most popular medium size venues in Australia[citation needed]. With a capacity of 2000, it is often used by newly formed bands and established international artists. Its small size is not only a more intimate experience with the audience, but is cheaper to rent when compared to the fees involved with renting a whole stadium.
The seating in the Thebarton Theatre is fully customizable, so it can be arranged from ’in the round’ seating for events such as boxing or even seating partially or fully removed to make room for a dance floor.
The Thebarton Theatre has seen international acts such as Pixies, Wolfmother, Sex Pistols, The Living End, The White Stripes, Belle & Sebastian, James Blunt, INXS, "Weird Al" Yankovic and You Am I.
