Theatre ballistic missile

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A theatre ballistic missile is any ballistic missile with a range between 300 and 3,500 km, used against targets "in-theatre". The term is a relatively new one, encompassing the former categories of short-range ballistic missile, medium-range ballistic missile and intermediate-range ballistic missile. Tactical ballistic missiles and intercontinental ballistic missiles have shorter and longer ranges, respectively.
