The "Chirping" Crickets is the debut album from the American rock and roll band The Crickets, led by Buddy Holly. In 2003, the album was ranked number 421 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Despite the album title, the Crickets do not sing on the album; choruses are provided by The Picks. The Beatles, who patterned themselves after the Crickets (including their name), believed the Crickets were singing, which led to the Beatles emphasizing their own group singing.
