The Zodiac Killer is a 1971 film directed by Tom Hanson. The film stars Hal Reed, Bob Jones, and Ray Lynch. The plot is based on the Zodiac Killer in the San Francisco area.

The chicken controversy Whilst filming the movie, a chicken was killed when a prop vehicle was reversed over it. The American Humane Association called for a boycott of the film, which was later discontinued. The chicken-death scene was removed from later prints of the movie.
