The Year of Washing Dangerously is an episode of the TV series King of the Hill (episode 195, season 10).

As Kahn struggles with his job, he and Minh order a video that they see advertised for on television. They are informed to find a "turnkey operation" to sit back and relax and make loads of money.

Kahn ends up buying a car wash that often holds classic car events. Kahn drives the loyal customers away by kicking them out if they don't pay for his water or soap. He even jacks up prices and gives less for the people's money.

Mr. Strickland is very upset about this. Much to Hank's dismay, Mr. Strickland becomes part-owner of the car wash, by using the money for Hank's "test-driving the grill patio" to buy his share. Hank, in turn, had to "report" to the car wash the next morning. He finds out that he now works for Kahn as well as Mr. Strickland.

Kahn treats Hank very badly and calls him his "monkey". Hank finally had enough and quit. Mr. Strickland is very upset about this, so, he sells his majority ownership to a local classic car owner. The man says to Kahn, "It looks like you work for me now!". Hank returns to working at Strickland Propane, and Mr. Strickland allows him to build his Test-Driving Grill Patio.

[edit] Trivia

  • At the inital scene of the Car Wash, the song "Fun Fun Fun" by "The Beach Boys" is heard in the background.
  • The tape of "Dr. Money" that Kanh and Minh order is a parody of Tom Vu.
  • Kahn draws a picture portraying Hank as a cymbal-banging monkey.

[edit] Errors

  • Mr. Strickland says that his muscle car is a 1979 Plymouth Barracuda. Plymouth stopped making Barracudas after 1974. The style of the 'Cuda indicates that it is most likely a 1970 Barracuda.
