The Ya Ya's were an indie band from oldham Manchester, England formed in the early 1990s. The original line up comprised of John Newsome vocals, Paul Newsome guitarist, Edward Greaves drums, Paul Schoefield Guitarist and Scott Maccleod Bass Guitar. They achieved mild success touring with bands such as Buzzcocks, Inspiral Carpets and a then-unheard of Oasis. After their demise guitarist Paul Newsome went on to form Proud Mary and signed to Noel Gallagher's Sour Mash Label. Ex Ya Ya bass player joined Oasis briefly for their ill fated 1995 American tour but quit after 6 weeks citing nervous exhaustion.
