The Will to Death is the fifth studio album by John Frusciante, released on June 22, 2004. He previously announced that in that year he would produce six albums using primitive recording techniques, The Will to Death being the first of the six.

In this album Josh Klinghoffer appears as a collaborator, playing drums, bass, and keyboard. The Will to Death reached #36 on the Top Independent Albums.[1]
