[edit] Plot

Hank’s book signing is interrupted when Todd Carr, the director of "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love," arrives screaming about character defamation – Hank has blamed him in print and elsewhere for the failure of the novel-to-film adaptation. The two fight, Hank is arrested and Bill arrives with bail and a plea for Hank to continue the blogging job for the sake of the family.

Hank later meets Meredith (Amy Price-Francis), the woman with whom he was set up, and has a one-night-stand with her. As Meredith leaves, Mia arrives and asks Hank for help in her creative writing class. He then tries to hide her as Karen arrives to ask him to keep the job for Becca's sake.

After a mild confrontation with his agent, Charlie, Hank sees Meredith at a bar, where she explains him she's been having a 5 years affair with a married man, which was the man he saw her with the previous night. She explains him that, due a misunderstanding, her lover's wife has her dog. Hank decides to steal him back (and a painting, while he is at it) and he and Meredith end up in bed again, only to discover, the following morning, that he got the wrong dog.

Meanwhile, in his office, Charlie masturbates to erotic BDSM photos of his blond secretary, whom he just fired. He rehires her the next morning, and she gives him permission to punish her whenever she does something wrong. He soon finds a reason to spank her.

Hank later gives the dog to his daughter Becca and the painting to Karen and Bill, who praises his daughter Mia for the story she's written.
