The West Wind is a well-known painting by Tom Thomson.[1]

Thomson based The West Wind on an earlier, slightly different sketch he produced in 1916 while working as a park ranger in Algonquin Park.[2]

The Canadian government honored Thomson with a series of stamps, one of which featured the West Wind.
