The Weight is a Canadian television drama series, scheduled to debut on Movie Central and The Movie Network in 2008.
Created by George F. Walker and Dani Romain, the series revolves around Max and Donny, two morally ambiguous police officers.
The series is being produced by The Nightingale Company, and shot by Richmond Street Films Inc. It is set to shoot throughout Scarborough, Ontario in the late summer and early autumn of 2007. Filming began at Don Mills Collegiate Institute in Don Mills, Ontario in early August.
The series' cast includes Ron White, Daniel Kash, Sharon Lawrence, Ed Asner, Linda Hamilton and Clé Bennett.
