The War Within is the fourth full-length studio album by metalcore band Shadows Fall. The album is notable for the songs such as "What Drives the Weak," "Inspiration on Demand," "The Power of I and I" and "The Light That Blinds"[citation needed]. The album also features a sampler track with music from other metalcore bands, such as Stampin' Ground and God Forbid.

  • The song "What Drives The Weak" was used as a track on the Projekt Revolution sampler CD given out for becoming a member of the Linkin Park Underground 4.0, Linkin Park's fan club (also called LPU).
  • The Japanese version includes a cover of "Teasn' Pleasn'" by Dangerous Toys.
  • "The Light That Blinds" is also featured as a bonus track on Guitar Hero II.
  • "What Drives the Weak" and "The Power of I and I" are featured on the Final Fight: Streetwise soundtrack.
  • "What Drives the Weak" is featured on MTV2 Headbangers Ball Vol. 2
