The Wacky World of Tex Avery

The Wacky World of Tex Avery is a cartoon television show produced by DiC Entertainment in 1997 and 1998.
The series was named after Tex Avery, a cartoonist who died in 1980. The creators describe the show as "homage to the brilliant, hilarious and groundbreaking animator Tex Avery and the wonderful squash-and-stretch cartoons of his era." [1]

- Tex Avery - A goat-riding cowboy who saves the day from his nemesis Sagebrush Sid.
- Einstone - A brilliant caveman tries to teach other cave people how to be civilized with his inventions. An obvious parody to the term Einstein
- Ghengis & Khannie - Ghengis the lion travels across the world to conquer, he always meets a young female panda named Khannie. A play on the name Ghengis Khan
- Maurice & Mooch - Maurice the chicken outwits Mooch the fox who tries to eat him.
- Pompeii Pete - A short Roman solider from Pompeii was buried in lava and 2,000 years later is free to live in the modern world.
- Power Pooch - A normal dog gained superpowers after licking a superhero's (parody of Superman) shoe and became a superhero himself along with his blue cat sidekick.
- Freddy the Fly - An obnoxious fly who bothers Maurice, a fat rich lady.
each episode shows three different cartoons with almost all of the episodes show th "Tex Avery" segment
