The Visit/The Seduction
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Visit/The Seduction is a 2002 CD reissue of two records by Manchester post-punk band Ludus, EP The Visit (1980) and LP The Seduction (1982), with artwork by Linder Sterling reproduced from the original vinyl release of The Seduction, and extensive sleevenotes written by LTM owner James Nice. Tracks 1-4 are culled from The Visit, tracks 7-14 from The Seduction -although in fact the version of "My Cherry Is In Sherry" which appears here is the short, 2-minute version from the A-side of Ludus 1980 single, which is also featured on the compilation The Damage, instead of the extended 6-minute version from the original vinyl release of the album. Another difference is the song "Herstory", which here appears in a longer version than on the vinyl. CD includes two more tracks: A-side of the 1981 single "Mother's Hour", and "Anatomy Is Not Destiny", B-side of the 1980 single "My Cherry Is In Sherry". The compilation is available from the label Les Temps Modernes.
