The Village School is a Pre-K through 12th private school located in western Houston, Texas, United States. The school was founded in 1966. It is accredited by the Association of Accredited Private Schools (TAAPS). The mascot of The Village School is the Viking.

The principals of the school are Joy Koehl, Betty Moore, and Timothy Vail. Liz Arend serves as the director of the middle school.

In regards to admissions, the student seeking admittance must take a certain test depending on the grade for which he/she is applying for. The grade that is applied to is dependent on the age of the student.
[edit] Extracurricular activities
The Village School offers many extracurricular activities, such as choir, band, orchestra, athletics, theatrical productions, student government, and academic competitions. Three choirs are present at Village: Elementary, Middle School, and Performing Choir. Fourth grade and above may participate in band and orchestra, and violin lessons after school are offered to students in kindergarten and above. Clubs, such as Student Council, National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), and Pep Club, are sponsored by the school. School-sponsored sports include soccer, basketball, volleyball, track and field, softball, baseball and cross-country.

Starting in 4th grade, each grade takes an annual trip outside of Houston. The 4th grade takes a trip to San Antonio. The 5th grade takes an overnight trip to Galveston. In the past the 5th grade trip was an overnight trip to Corpus Christi. Starting in middle school, the trips are extended to almost a week. The 6th grade goes on what most students say is the most memorable trip of all, Mo Ranch. The most memorable activities of the Mo Ranch trip are usually the Mo Pole and the Big Gulp. The 7th grade goes on the Texas Tour, which includes going to San Antonio and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. As a final trip, the 8th grade goes to Washington, DC.
