The Very Best of Sting & The Police is a compilation album issued by Sting, and released by A&M Records. Reviews of the content are positive, but the compilation itself is generally regarded as superfluous. The album originally featured one new track, a remix of the 1978 song "Roxanne" by rap artist Sean "Puffy" Combs.

The album was re-released in 2002 with several track changes: the songs "Let Your Soul Be Your Pilot", "Russians", and "Roxanne '97 (Puff Daddy Remix)" are omitted. The songs "Seven Days", "Fragile", "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da", "Brand New Day", "Desert Rose", and "So Lonely" are added, bringing the number of tracks from 15 to 18.
