The Valdez Star is a small independent weekly newspaper in Valdez, Alaska. Its current owner is Lee Revis.
In February 2004, The Valdez Star bought the rival weekly Valdez Vanguard for an undisclosed sum ending Valdez's status as a surprising multi-newspaper community[1].
