This is a comprehensive listing of releases by The Used, an American rock band. The band has released three studio albums, one demo, one EP, one compilation album, one live album, and fourteen singles in their career.
The Used officially formed in January of 2001, although some members previously performed under the name Strange Itch from around 1994, changing their name to Dumb Luck in 1999 prior to becoming Used. It was later discovered that another band had taken this name, and thus they decided to become "The Used". After recording their demo Demos from the Basement, The Used signed with Reprise Records, and later worked with producer John Feldmann to record their debut self titled album, which was released in June 2002. Four singles were released from this album, which was later certified Gold. In July 2003, The Used released their first CD/DVD Maybe Memories, which featured live, rare and previously unreleased tracks and a DVD including a history of the band, member bios, and part of a live concert which went platinum. The follow-up studio album, entitled In Love and Death was released in 2004, and saw three singles released. The album was subsequently re-released the following year featuring a cover version of "Under Pressure" performed with My Chemical Romance and has also gone gold.
In February 2007, The Used released a live CD/DVD package, Berth, which included a full live concert shot at the Taste of Chaos 2005 show in Vancouver and it has been certified gold. In May 2007 the band released their third studio album, Lies for the Liars, from which they released four singles. Having recorded 19 songs during the Lies for the Liars sessions, the band decided to release those tracks that were not used for the album. Additionally, B-sides and other rarities from previous albums were also included. The digital-only EP Shallow Believer was released in February 2008.
The Used began demoing the next album between January and March 2008, and started recording in late May and aim to have it released in late 2008.
