The Turning Point (Russian: Великий перелом, translit. Velikiy perelom) is a Soviet 1945 film directed by Fridrikh Ermler based on a sreenplay by Boris Chirskov. Film was one of the earlier Palme d'Or winners of 1946. Runtime - 108 min. Produced by Lenfilm, distributed in USA by Artkino Pictures. Film was restored in 1967 by Lenfilm. Working title - General of the Army (Russian: Генерал армии)
