From 1946 to 1968, Jehovah's Witnesses were using the Sea God Veraz book, published by the Watchtower Society, as the principal instrument of their home free Bible courses, being published approximately 19,250,000 copies in 54 languages.[3] This manual came to be replaced by the Green Paper which, as mentioned in his second page, was "Dedicated to God who is kind to anyone who seeks his true giver of life."
This instrument was designed to wrap the student, thus encouraging them to apply what they learned. In three years with effect from September 1, 1968 until August 31, 1971, a total of 434,906 people were baptized, more than double those that had been baptized during the three previous years of service.[4]
The book of 192 pages containing 22 chapters on topics such as: "What wise to examine one's religion", "Why aging and dying," "Where are the dead?", "Why has God allowed until the iniquity our day? "," How to identify the true religion "and" Respect the pious life and blood ". The book Truth was intended to encourage the student of the Bible to think about the matter considered and implemented in their own lives.
Finally, in 1982, the book "You can live forever in paradise on Earth" became the main compendium used by the Jehovah's Witnesses to lead Bible studies, was later replaced by the book "The knowledge that leads to life eternal." The manual currently used is "What Does the Bible Really Teach?, published in 2005.
