Sapphire and her brother Conor can't forget their adventures in Ingo, the mysterious world beneath the sea. They long to see their mer friends once more. But a crisis is brewing far below the ocean's surface, where the wisest of the mer guards the Tide Knot. And soon both Sapphire and Conor will be drawn to Ingo's troubled waters...

[edit] Plot summary

Sapphire, Conor, and their mum have moved to St Pirans with Roger, leaving behind their cottage by the sea, where their dad disappeared two years ago. Conor has adapted to this new life, but Sapphire cannot. She is withdrawn and restless, and her only relief is Ingo. She goes there more frequently, even without Conor, who has given up going, and prefers his life in the Air. But Ingo is becoming a dangerous place, and soon both Sapphire and her brother will be called to its depths to restore the balance between Ingo and Air, before it's too late.
