[edit] Premise

FOX News mentioned reports that the movie will be based on the writings of L. Ron Hubbard, and the tenets of the Church of Scientology[5].

Other news sources stated that Victoria Beckham may play "an alien"[5][6] or "an alien bride"[7][8][9][10], opposite the title character[11], "an immortal spiritual being Scientologists believe is present in all humans"[12].

[edit] Production

The Daily Star reported that after the film was turned down by all the major studios, Cruise agreed to pay for the film himself[13], and has cast Beckham as the bride of a thetan[14]. Cruise reportedly picked Beckham for the role for her "comedic genius"[14][10]. Beckham was said to be "thrilled" about the role in the film[15].

An MSNBC gossip column reported that Cruise's representative claims: "there’s no such project in the works."[16]
