"The Theft" is the second single off of the American metalcore band Atreyu's third album, A Death-Grip on Yesterday, released in 2006. The song's lyrics are about the theft of the band's lead singer, Alex Varkatzas's "freedom" when he was an alcoholic, or in his words "stolen shit"[1].
