The Tenth Stage is a band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in January, 2006 the band combines the vocal talents of Roberto Massaglia and the production skills of John Von Ahlen [1].

The Tenth Stage's music can be defined as dark, theatrical pop with an enigmatic blend of synthetic and acoustic instruments. Their sound is an eclectic mix of electronica, dub, reggae and classical styles, blended together to create twisted pop tales from the dark-side - an ironic fist in a velvet glove.

The music is similar to: The Human League (Early), Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, Robert Johnson, Massive Attack, Muddy Waters and Kate Bush

2006, November 11	Transfusion06 at Whiskey Bar (Melbourne, Australia)	This was the bands debut performance, and also the Melbourne launch party for the Crash Frequency Compilation CD Volume 2. Backing band consists of Dino Molinaro on Bass Guitar (IKON), The Baroness on Backing Vocals (Opera Macabre), Charles Fenech on Keyboards (Angel Theory) and Rowena Martin on Backing Vocals.
2007, April 29	East Brunswick Club (Melbourne, Australia)	The Tenth Stage performed with (IKON). Immediately after this event both bands travelled to Europe.IKON toured extensively to promote their "Burden Of History" CD, whilst The Tenth Stage performed promotional duties in London, Germany and Italy.
2007, May 27	Wave-Gotik-Treffen at Parkbühne (Leipzig, Germany)	Technically this is not a Tenth Stage performance. Roberto performed on stage with Angelspit and John was front-of-house mixing engineer
2007, August 18	Transfusion 07 at Inflation Nightclub (Melbourne, Australia)	Also appearing were nonPlus, Single Lens Reflex and Harpy
2007, September 1	Under The Blue Moon Festival at Newtown RSL (New South Wales, Australia)	The Tenth Stage are the Headline act for this Electro event. Also on stage were Empty, YunYu and The Inflatable Voodoo Dolls
2007, September 27	Melbourne Fringe Festival at Toff In Town (Melbourne, Australia)	The band performed at this Arts & Music festival which attracts over 300,000 visitors annually. Performing with them on stage in his first appearance as Master of Ceremonies for the band is Tim Harris
2007, October 27	Sin Nightclub (Perth, West Australia)	Also appearing were fellow Crash Frequency artist Angeltheory
2007, December 12	Assemblage 23 at Corner Hotel Richmond (Melbourne, Australia)	The Tenth Stage were due to support Assemblage 23 on the Melbourne leg of their tour, but had to cancel due to one of the vocalists (John) having a throat infection. Angeltheory supported Assemblage 23 on their entire Australian tour, and were the sole support act for that evening. A limited edition CD was produced by the tour promoters, Riveting Promotions.
2008, February 02	Rock De'Lectro at Ding Dong Lounge (Melbourne, Australia)	This event was part of the Midsumma GLBT Festival and featured a host of Australian Rock/Electro acts, including Johnny X, The Minority, The New Electric and CC Martini. This was a unique event because The Tenth Stage performed remixed versions of their songs, made specially for this performance.
2008, February 23	Toff In Town (Melbourne, Australia)	The band will perform with special guest Chris McCarter (IKON) making a special appearance for the very last track, which the band will perform entirely acoustic. The band will be showcasing tracks from their forthcoming album (Grand Guignol). Also onstage will be Dino Molinaro (IKON), The Baroness (Opera Macabre) and Tim Harris as MC.

The Tenth Stage have announced a new album currently in production for release in 2008. It will be called "Grand Guignol", named after the famous theatre in Paris which specialized in the most naturalistic grisly horror shows.

Their first Video clip is for the track "Francois Martin" has been released on YouTube as of 17th May 2007.
